Welcome to the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence

The purpose of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence is to eliminate domestic violence in Rhode Island. Our mission is to support and enhance the work of our member agencies and to provide leadership on the issue of domestic violence.

Register for the Domestic Violence Address Confidentiality Program!

Don’t choose between your right to safety and your right to vote! Are you a survivor of domestic violence?  Do you live with a survivor of domestic violence?  If so, you may qualify for the Rhode Island Address Confidentiality Program.

What is it?

A program run by the RI Secretary of State which allows domestic violence survivors, and those who live with them, to block their addresses from being made public in the voter registration files. You can register to vote and still ensure that your abuser won’t find you.

Internships and Volunteer Opportunities

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and RICADV needs YOU. The Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence is looking for students for upcoming internships as well as individuals with some time to volunteer for our projects. We still have a long way to go to acheive a Rhode Island that is free of violence in the home. We need your help to reach that goal!

We have both internships and volunteer opportunities throughout the months of September and October and beyond. Use the form below to apply for an internship or to be a RICADV volunteer. You can also call Sheila French at (401) 467-9940 to set up an interview.
